Final Paper

For our final paper for this class, we had to write a paper about something we believe in. I decided to write about a philosophy I live my life by. This is philosophy is live every day like it's your last.

There are many different life philosophies that people base their lives around, but I live my life by the philosophy of; Live every day likes it’s your last.
Living every day like it’ my last also means living my life to its fullest. Living in the moment and taking chances every day guarantees I am living my life to its fullest. I live my life day by day because I never know when my days are going to run out.
Living every day like it’s my last; I live my life with no hesitations. I make decisions for myself, and no one else. I want to have no regret in my life. I don’t want to think about my past or what could have been, what’s done is done.
Living every day like it’s my last, I surround myself with the people I love, and who love me. I say I love you every time I get the chance, because I never know when I am going to run out of chances.
Living every day like it’s my last; I say every goodbye like I will never see the person again. It is important to me to let others know how much I care about them. There is not a better time than the present to tell someone how I feel about them. In hopes to create a good last memory with someone, I always say a meaningful goodbye and let them know just how much they truly mean to me.
Living every day like it’s your last is such a powerful statement. It’s hard to believe that this one phrase could define my whole life. I plan to live the rest of my life by this philosophy because I will never know when my last day might be.

I'm Done!!

Today is my last day of the semester, and I am so excited! I have to turn in my last paper at 8 this morning and then my last anatomy test is at 10:15. After these two things are over I am free for a month! I have been looking forward to winter break for a long time, and it is finally here! Over break I will probably be back and forth between Tomah and La Crosse a lot because of work. I want to spend a lot of time in Tomah because everyone will be home over break and I will have a lot of chances to see everybody. I only have to get through three more hours of this semester, then it is winter break!!

Snow Day!!

All classes at TC were close today!! I was very excited about our snow day today! I didn't have to work at all today so I finally got a day to sleep in. I had a very relaxing day and I enjoyed every minute of it. This afternoon Caitlin and I made cut out Christmas cookies. We even frosted and put sprinkles on them! They are delicious. All in all I had a very relaxing day!

End of the Semester

I cannot believe that the semester ends in two weeks. The semester has gone by so fast. My last day of classes is Thursday December 17th. I am really looking forward to a month off. I plan on working as much as a I can between my two jobs. I also hope I can spend a lot of time with all of my friends from back home, I haven't seen a lot of them in awhile. I'm hoping these next two weeks go by as fast as the rest of semester has!

Game Nights!

Every other Wednesday my roommate Caitlin and I have a game night with some other friends of ours. Before we play game we always make dinner together. The first game night we had the two boys made fajita's and tacos and for dessert brownies! It was really good. Last night for game night we made homemade pizza's and Caitlin made rice krispie bars for dessert. Game nights are always a lot of fun and Caitlin and I always beat the boys! I can't wait for the next game night!

A Long Week

It is 8 am Monday morning and I am already dreading this week, this is not a good sign. I am mostly not looking forward to the rest of today. I have class this morning until 11, and then I work from 12 to 9 tonight! After work I am coming home and will probably have to pull an all night'er trying to study for my Anatomy Lab test at 8 in the morning Tuesday. Yuck! The rest of my week consists of classes, working Tuesday and Friday, studying for my two other test, and putting the finishing touches on my paper that is due Thursday. I am really not looking forward to this week at all!

Thanksgiving Break

I am really excited for Thanksgiving break! I will hopefully get to see a lot of people i haven't seen in awhile. I am really excited because two of my cousins just had babies. My cousin Chrissy had a baby boy, Brayden, in October that I haven't seen yet. And my cousin Eric's wife, Kelly, had a baby girl, Brinn, about a week ago. I can't wait to see them. I will also hopefully get the chance to see some people I haven't had the chance to see since leaving for college. I am really curious to see how some people are doing, and what they have been up to the past couple of months. Thanksgiving break is only two days away and I can't wait!

Where has the time gone?

Where has the semester gone!? I cannot believe that it is almost Thanksgiving! The school year is going by so fast, I feel like I just started college a couple of weeks ago, it is crazy to think that I started college over three months ago! I think it is a good thing though, I am having a great time and meeting a lot of new people. I am making the most of my college experience, and having a great time doing it!

Madison

Last weekend I had the chance to go down to Madison and stay with a friend for a couple of nights. Before going down there I didn't really know what I was getting myself into. My friend is part of a fraternity, and I would be staying in the frat house. Besides my friend there were nine other guys that lived in the frat house. I had the chance to meet most of them, and they were all pretty cool. While i was down there the fraternity had a "crush" party, the theme of the party was Come Classy Leave Trashy. The party was a lot of fun, everyone got all dressed up, and danced the night away. Before going down I was very nervous, but I had a great weekend and plan on going down again sometime soon!

A Job

Since starting school my parents have been on me about getting a job. Every time I would go home they would be on my back about finding a job, but what college student really wants to work!? Not me! I have a summer job back home but I really didn't want to have a job in LaCrosse. After three months of living in LaCrosse, I finally gave into my parents, and found a job. Two weeks ago I started work at Hobby Lobby part time. I work as a cashier so the work is pretty easy. After a couple weeks of work I decided my parents were right, that getting a job and having the extra cash wasn't so bad.

Today of All Days

I have been looking forward to today all week! Jason Aldean (a country singer) is at the La Crosse Center tonight, and Caitlin and I have tickets with my cousin Kyle and all of his roommates. I've been excited all week, that is until I woke up at 3 O'clock this morning with a runny nose, sore throat, and a headache. Out of all days to get sick it had to be today! I'm hoping I will feel better by tonight so I am still able to go. I am done with classes at 11 today and I'm going home and hopefully sleeping it off all afternoon. If I'm feeling the slightest bit better I am going to the concert tonight!

Comfort Zone

One of our assignments for this class was to do something out of our comfort zone and write a paper about it. I had a really hard time trying to think of something to do for this assignment. Finally I decided that I would let my friend, Caitlin, pick out a hair color and dye my hair. This was really out of my comfort zone because I was putting all of my trust in her to pick out a color and let her dye my hair which she has never done before. To ease my nerves Caitlin said she was only going to pick out a temporary hair dye so it wouldn't' stay in my hair as long. Before we dyed my hair she showed me she had picked out a light brown color. (my hair was blond to begin with) I was okay with her choice so we started dying my hair. I became nervous again because she had never done this before, and if she didn't get the roots or forgot some hair it would be really obvious! Caitlin did a great job for her first time! The only thing that went wrong was that my hair turned out more red then brown but that wasn't her fault! At first I didn't like my hair at all! I'm starting to get used to it, but I don't think I will dye it back to this color again, I like my natural color better. But over all I am really glad I did this because it made me realize that if I just relax and trust someone that it will work out okay in the end.

Meet the Roommates

Like most people I could not wait to graduate high school and move out of my parents house, and that is exactly what I did! The spring of our senior year my roommates, Eric and Caitlin, and I signed a lease on an apartment in La Crosse for the following fall. We were all so excited and could not wait to move in. The rest of senior year and the summer flew by, and by the time we knew it, it was August and time to move in. I was the first to move in, and two days later Caitlin moved in. Caitlin and I both attend Western Technical College in La Crosse, and are both going for physical therapy assistant. The first two weeks it was just Caitlin and I living in the apartment because Eric attends UW-L, for pre-med, and they did not start classes until after Labor Day. When Eric moved in it took some getting used to. Me and Caitlin were used to it just being us two, we knew each others schedules and we were making some new friends. Eric is all moved in now and everything is going great. Should be a great year!
