Where has the time gone?
Where has the semester gone!? I cannot believe that it is almost Thanksgiving! The school year is going by so fast, I feel like I just started college a couple of weeks ago, it is crazy to think that I started college over three months ago! I think it is a good thing though, I am having a great time and meeting a lot of new people. I am making the most of my college experience, and having a great time doing it!
Madison
Last weekend I had the chance to go down to Madison and stay with a friend for a couple of nights. Before going down there I didn't really know what I was getting myself into. My friend is part of a fraternity, and I would be staying in the frat house. Besides my friend there were nine other guys that lived in the frat house. I had the chance to meet most of them, and they were all pretty cool. While i was down there the fraternity had a "crush" party, the theme of the party was Come Classy Leave Trashy. The party was a lot of fun, everyone got all dressed up, and danced the night away. Before going down I was very nervous, but I had a great weekend and plan on going down again sometime soon!
A Job
Since starting school my parents have been on me about getting a job. Every time I would go home they would be on my back about finding a job, but what college student really wants to work!? Not me! I have a summer job back home but I really didn't want to have a job in LaCrosse. After three months of living in LaCrosse, I finally gave into my parents, and found a job. Two weeks ago I started work at Hobby Lobby part time. I work as a cashier so the work is pretty easy. After a couple weeks of work I decided my parents were right, that getting a job and having the extra cash wasn't so bad.

Today of All Days
I have been looking forward to today all week! Jason Aldean (a country singer) is at the La Crosse Center tonight, and Caitlin and I have tickets with my cousin Kyle and all of his roommates. I've been excited all week, that is until I woke up at 3 O'clock this morning with a runny nose, sore throat, and a headache. Out of all days to get sick it had to be today! I'm hoping I will feel better by tonight so I am still able to go. I am done with classes at 11 today and I'm going home and hopefully sleeping it off all afternoon. If I'm feeling the slightest bit better I am going to the concert tonight!

Comfort Zone
One of our assignments for this class was to do something out of our comfort zone and write a paper about it. I had a really hard time trying to think of something to do for this assignment. Finally I decided that I would let my friend, Caitlin, pick out a hair color and dye my hair. This was really out of my comfort zone because I was putting all of my trust in her to pick out a color and let her dye my hair which she has never done before. To ease my nerves Caitlin said she was only going to pick out a temporary hair dye so it wouldn't' stay in my hair as long. Before we dyed my hair she showed me she had picked out a light brown color. (my hair was blond to begin with) I was okay with her choice so we started dying my hair. I became nervous again because she had never done this before, and if she didn't get the roots or forgot some hair it would be really obvious! Caitlin did a great job for her first time! The only thing that went wrong was that my hair turned out more red then brown but that wasn't her fault! At first I didn't like my hair at all! I'm starting to get used to it, but I don't think I will dye it back to this color again, I like my natural color better. But over all I am really glad I did this because it made me realize that if I just relax and trust someone that it will work out okay in the end.

Meet the Roommates
Like most people I could not wait to graduate high school and move out of my parents house, and that is exactly what I did! The spring of our senior year my roommates, Eric and Caitlin, and I signed a lease on an apartment in La Crosse for the following fall. We were all so excited and could not wait to move in. The rest of senior year and the summer flew by, and by the time we knew it, it was August and time to move in. I was the first to move in, and two days later Caitlin moved in. Caitlin and I both attend Western Technical College in La Crosse, and are both going for physical therapy assistant. The first two weeks it was just Caitlin and I living in the apartment because Eric attends UW-L, for pre-med, and they did not start classes until after Labor Day. When Eric moved in it took some getting used to. Me and Caitlin were used to it just being us two, we knew each others schedules and we were making some new friends. Eric is all moved in now and everything is going great. Should be a great year!
